Volunteer Needed

Mrs Kinnear would be very grateful for a volunteer to come forward to help escort the children to the school’s playing field for Tag Rugby at 2:15 each Thursday this half term.  Please see Mrs Kinnear if you are able to help.

Photographs

Due to the bad weather yesterday (therefore bad hair days!), Scott Nelmes will now be coming into school next Thursday, 10^th November, to take individual photographs.  If you would like siblings to be photographed with your school aged child, please go to the school hall at 9am, after dropping your child off, and Scott will arrange for your children to be photographed together.

Cross Country

Churchstanton’s intrepid endurance runners were back in action again last night at Stockland School.  Some were running the course again while for two others it was their first experience of the fields and mud.  I would just like to say they were all absolutely fantastic and all improved on their positions from last time!

Millie Jones and Sophie Walker both came an effortless 5^th and 6^th in their respective races.  For great teamwork then that must go to the Year 5/6 boys who all finished behind one another!  J

Football

The Year 5/6 boys were in action just before Half Term in the Taunton Small Schools League.  They played some excellent football and came way undefeated.  They won two and drew two games.  Comment of the night was from a team player who claimed the goal was too small after they had blazed the ball over the crossbar after what had appeared to be an un-miss able opportunity!  Still on reflection that’s no different to the Premier League.  J

Class One

Please could Class One children bring in Junk for making Firework Models next week.

Class One PE

Mrs Holt would like to remind parents that Class 1 have PE on Monday’s and Friday’s. Please therefore could you please make sure their PE kits are in school for these days.

As the weather has changed please could children have shorts and tracksuit bottoms.

Halloween Disco

There was lots of creepy goings on in the school hall at the end of last half term with a very successful disco.  Many thanks to all the organisers and helpers in making the evening very enjoyable for the children.

Webb Ivory

Festive Fayre – Saturday November 12^th

Come along to the Festive Fayre from 12 – 3pm at  Churchinford Village Hall. Craft

activities, hot dogs, cakes, games and raffle. Christmas shopping with The Beekeeping Ladies, Usborne Books, Wildside Experience, Phoenix Trading, Jewellery, Gifts, Produce. All in aid of the Friends of Churchstanton School.
