Extra Time Club

Churchstanton Primary School is proud to offer stimulating childcare after normal school hours. This is provided on the school premises by the OFSTED registered Extra Time Club (ETC) which is open five days a week from 3.15 pm until 5.30pm.

We welcome children from Year R to Year 6. ETC aims to give working parents the flexibility of longer working hours. However, many children also attend the club on an occasional basis - perhaps when a sibling is attending a different club. We also run specialist clubs from time to time e.g. cooking, crafts, chess, etc.

Extra Time Club is led by our three very enthusiastic staff: Mrs Kirby (Manager), Mrs Betteridge and Mrs Gammidge. A parent committee meet regularly and oversee the running of the club. We aim to provide an informal environment where the children have a wide range of play equipment to suit all the different ages of children. Children can make camps, put on shows, play games, join in with organised activities or just simply relax.

We are fortunate to be situated in such fantastic surroundings and whenever possible, we make use of the school’s superb grounds. We provide a healthy snack during the session and on Mondays and Wednesdays, we provide a full two-course meal.

We feel that ETC provides a great end to the school day and one really positive aspect of ETC is that children from all three classes come together; the older children helping the younger ones.
